Probari is not just software, we use real RNs trained in geriatrics and nursing home care to do each review. We consider our program to be “software enabled” because our software makes us faster and more standardized, but each review and intervention recommendation come directly from an actual nurse.

While we love the integration of technology into nursing home care, we still believe that in order to meet the needs of each individual resident at each individual nursing home, you need trained professionals.

Yes! There is so much that can be done virtually for a nursing home that can free up the staff. Reviewing medical records, piecing together resident timelines and double checking every order takes up valuable time and does NOT need to be done by someone in the facility. Most facilities are short staffed and need those that are actually in the building to be caring for the residents. Probari can take much of the computer work that needs to be done by clinicians off of the plates of your team.

The vast majority of the interventions that you see on the daily checklist are generated during a live review from one of our highly trained, geriatric RNs. Our structured reviews provide prompting for our nurses to review different data sources, look for details and identify gaps where they exist. While our interventions follow a standard format so that you can understand and trust them, it’s important to know that each gets created and reviewed by the RN that has been reviewing that particular patient.

From a technology standpoint, each intervention gets aggregated by facility and patient and put on the daily checklist that your team receives every evening.

The Probari team has many classification structures that we follow to consistently label interventions by the appropriate priority. However, as each intervention is reviewed and created by the RN during the review, they can exercise their clinical judgment to ensure that it fits the needs of the facility.

Our customers consistently state that these checklists SAVE them time each day by taking the research and reading off of their plates and instead providing a very easy to implement daily checklist. . On average, it takes 15 minutes in morning meeting to review and implement the interventions on the checklist.

Probari is built to review complex events at the nursing home (Admissions, QA audits, infections, etc) and find missing information, gaps in care or other issues that could cause real resident harm. By quickly identifying these areas and addressing them, many of the adverse events that cause residents to return to the hospital or have a major event are avoided altogether. Additionally, Probari often aids the facility to have more complete and thoughtful documentation, which improves survey results.

Probari follows a volume based pricing model, allowing for facilities with different sizes and patient populations. If we do more reviews, we cost more. If we do less, we cost less. We can easily adjust to the size of your facility by following this pricing model.
