The Longest Day: Alzheimer’s Association Dementia Care and Support Resources
June marks the summer solstice and serves as an important time to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease through initiatives such as the Alzheimer's Association’s The Longest Day. During this month, facilities, caregivers, and families across the country come together to shine a light on dementia.
A new diagnosis of Alzheimer’s dementia often brings uncertainty, questions, and emotional challenges for residents and their loved ones. Families frequently seek guidance to better understand the diagnosis, prepare for the changes ahead, and learn how to support their loved one as the disease progresses over time.
To support these efforts, the Probari Clinical Team would like to highlight valuable resources and educational tools that can assist staff in delivering compassionate, person-centered care to residents living with Alzheimer’s disease.
These resources can also provide meaningful information and support to family members and loved ones as they navigate the ongoing journey of dementia care.
